ABSTRACT
Abstract In the face of dynamic global changes, there is a strong need to teach the competences that will be essential in the future, such as spatial understanding, social cooperation, critical thinking skills and creativity. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, learning about architecture and urban planning provides an opportunity to develop these competences. In recent years, architectural education has developed in Poland in various forms that go beyond standard academic teaching in this fi eld and include workshops, public participation, and education for children and young people. Several universities have also started to work with secondary schools with the aim of disseminating expertise. Th is article presents the cooperation of the Rzeszów University of Technology with the Public Academic Comprehensive Secondary School in Rzeszów in the fi eld of architectural education and presents the special curriculum developed on the basis of practical methods and experience gained in 202 1–2025 while working at the school. Th e topics listed can be a ready tool for teachers and educators in other schools interested in introducing elements of architectural education into their curriculum.
