The Cistercian complex at Henryków is an extremely culturally valuable example of the integration of outstanding architectural, urban and natural features. The monastery complex, with its garden complex, manor house, settlement, Cistercian water features and landscape park, testifies to the splendour of the site in the past. After 1945, the complex declined, neglected and degraded for decades. In 2020, the Ziębice Town Council passed a resolution to create a cultural park called the Cistercian Abbey Cultural Park in Henryków. It was created with the intention of enhancing the cultural value of the site and protecting its authenticity, among other reasons. The author of this article was a member of an interdisciplinary research team that conducted a comprehensive analytical and diagnostic study of the Henryków landscape in 2019 to identify the cultural values of the complex, define the objectives for the creation of a cultural park and draw up a conservation plan.
